Original Ideas Statement
The main
music genre my magazine will be based on is alternative rock. I have chosen
this type of genre to use within my magazine as I feel that rock magazines
often are successful within the magazine industry however my magazine will not
be directly replicating this as the music genre will be softer as it is
alternative. This slight difference will cause my magazine to stand out within
the market and therefor will be filling a gap. The typical Target Audience for
this kind of magazine is a young working class male. I feel my magazine will
fit in well to this audience however as my magazine is going to have perhaps a
softer edge I am hoping it would be able to attract a female audience also
which would enable my magazine to have a wider audience base and increase sales
of the magazine.
