Location, Props and Costume

The main location of where my images were taken was in the studio. They were taken here as i feel this gave the images a more profession look and also gave me the advantage of using more props and a variety of costumes. Within the image to the right you are able to see one of my original images taken within the studio. Here you can see my choice of costume was quite casual to conotate a more relaxed feel of the band, such as jeans and t-shirts. However i also feel there is a slight rebellious feel to the costumes with the darker colours and leather jackets. This will reperesent the type of band they are well as leather jackets fit in with the rock genre and perhaps the wearing of a wooly hat shows the indie/alterantive look.
In the image to the left you are able to see a variety of props i have included within this image. Firstly i placed a cigarette behind the persons ear to show that this person in rebelling, the other prop used also conotates this idea as he is throwing money into the air. This will show that this person has a care free attitude and no matter how much money he has he is not afraid to throw this away, maybe suggesting money is not the main focus as it may be in other genres but in fact music is the main focus for this individual. This person is representated in a way to fit in with the rock'n'roll lifestyle.

Within this shoot i also asked the people the dress as they would feel appropriate for an alternative rock magazine. As they turned up in the clothing they did and i feel this will translate well to the audience of the magazine as the people posing in this image are the typical target audience for the magazine.
